on August 31st, 2010 in Live Music by kim | No CommentsHave you been downtown to enjoy some of the absolutely fabulous music on First Friday? Â If you haven’t you have been missing out on some amazing local talent. Â I am constantly surprised by the caliber of musicians that are eager to join us.
The line up for this month is as follows:
Springcreek Coffehouse will feature: Johnson Creek Brass
North Main will feature: Will Scriben
City Hall will feature: Sellwood Middle School Marimba Band
12.500 Commercial Window Coverings  will feature: Tradin’ Fours
Wine:30 and Enchanté will feature: John Haverly and Marydith Grant
And if that’s not enough, there will be dancing as well…
Stop by Big Kahuna’s BBQ on the corner of Washington and 21st Streets to see the Hula Dancers. Â While you are there ask them about the $2.oo barbeque sandwich special. Â I know they will be happy to serve up some of their famous barbeque. Â If you had an opportunity to try their fabulous food during the community dance and car show last month you already know exactly what to expect. Â Yum!!
After you finish watching the Hula Dancers, Â wander around the corner and say hello to Carmen at Cha Cha Cha. Â She will be happy to make sure that you receive a Salsa Dancing lesson. Â There will be professional salsa dancers onsite to teach you the perfect techniques so that you will be able to dance the night away.
