on March 31st, 2011 in Poetry Reading by kim | No CommentsCome and share poetry! Art a La Carte is resuming on April 1. As part of that, the Milwaukie Poetry Series is sponsoring a Poetry Reading.
The Open Mic reading will be April 1from 6 to 7 p.m.at St. John the Evangelist church, located at 2036 SE Jefferson. Readers should plan on having the mic for five minutes, and if there’s more time after everyone’s had a chance to read, additional opportunities will be provided. There will be poetry books available for those who want to come but haven’t brought a book. To get on the list to read ahead of time, please call Tom Hogan, the Milwaukie Poetry Series Coordinator, at (503) 819-8367 or email him at tomhogan2@comcast.net. There will also be a sign-up sheet at the event for those wishing to share.

April 1st, 2011 ** Author’s Corner
on March 30th, 2011 in Author's Corner by kim | No Comments|
Greetings!
Do you wonder what your crazy dreams mean? Would you like to remember them more clearly? Experience flying in a dream?
Join me as I host the April 1st Author’s Corner at Windhorse Coffee Shop, 16011 SE Main Street, Milwaukie, OR. On-line at http://windhorsecoffee.com/ Have a great cup of coffee and dessert, pick-up a copy of “DreamLines: A Guided Journey Through the Landscape of Dreams” and enjoy a free dream consultation. Event runs from 4:30 ’til 8:30 pm. There is no admission fee. |
Here is a little bit about our Author Sarai St. Julien
Author of DreamLines: A Guided Journey Through the Landscape of Dreams and Relax Now!
A professional marketing and technical writer for almost 20 years, in 2002 Sarai left the corporate world behind and began her own company: The Intuitive’s Path.
Sarai’s mission is to help people both through the use of her intuitive gifts and by helping them to connect with their own intuition. She does so by leading workshops and classes on Dreams, Tarot, Intuition and Meditation; through private consultations, and by means of her CD: Relax Now!
Sarai lives in Milwaukie, Oregon with her husband Gale Charles Strong and their three cats: Peony, Joey and Kato. She loves spending time around trees (her house is surrounded with Hawthorns, Maples, Dogwoods and huge evergreens). She is a recent, albeit enthusiastic, convert to cycling.
A ferocious Scrabble player, Sarai’s friends describe her as a “wordie” because of her fascination with words and language. Sarai is an honor’s graduate with a baccalaureate in Spanish and French. She went on to study Italian and English Literature after graduation.
